John O’Callaghan - Desert Orchid
Whatever project he sets his mind to, John O‘Callaghan makes it come alive. He creates a soul to his ideas, and lets them outshine the rest. It’s all about their effect on the floor, and his new ‘Desert Orchid’ is a true winner on that field. From its soft, almost inaudible whispers to the deep bass hitting your heart with a new rhythm to pound to, draped in a warm, trancy melody and sparling, energetic tech-effect. ‘Desert Orchid’ has soul, and will take over the floors with an enchanting impact.
If anyone feels a track like this, it’s Dutchman Thomas Bronzwaer. Mister ‘Certitude’, ‘Look Ahead’ and ‘Collider’ knows more than well how to boost ‘Desert Orchid’ and let his own sound slip right into the core of it. On his remix, the ‘Desert Orchid’ soul is energetic, with a core of pure trance delight.
DNS Project feat. Johanna - Timestep
As DNS Project’s track ‘Mindful’ proves: combining Rene Pais’ producing skills and Johanna’s singing talent equals delicious sounds! And once found the right ingredients, why not use this recipe for success a second time? ‘Timestep’ is Rene’s third vocal trance tune under his DNS Project alias and combines lovely vocals with a dreamy melody and pumping beats.
With ‘Timestep’ the Estonian producer once again returns to his uplifting trance roots. At the beginning of 2010, after creating some down-tempo progressive tracks under his Lens Flare and Whiteglow guises, he decided to consecrate himself to his main alias DNS Project again. First time he let the DNS project out was 2004, when the talent started producing.
When it comes down to successful recipes for pure uplifting, Andy Blueman is definitely working his way up in the kitchen. He did a beautiful remix of ‘Timestep’, on which he once again searches for the highest heights of uplifting.
Beat Service ft Emma Lock - Cut & Run
Estonian producer Madis Sillamo, going under the Beat Service moniker, doesn’t need to prove himself anymore. He’s way past that phase, and became known to Armada as the man behind the genuine, surprising remixes of ‘Nothing At All’ and ‘Closer’.
But there’s so much more in the Beat Service store than remixes. In the past three years, he’s released several strong single releases, of which ‘Waiting For The Sun’ was probably the most successful so far. As the follow-up to ‘Hiding To Nothing’, Beat Service now presents another collab with vocalist Emma Lock: ‘Cut & Run’. Another true trance anthem, with all the right synths and tricks ready to trigger the minds of trance lovers. Tranquilizing and warm, ‘Cut & Run’ is.
On the remix, we find the creator of one of trance’s ultimate classics, Ralphie B. His ‘Massive’ still hunts the minds of millions of trance lovers, and keeps returning to the floors. His ‘Cutting Edge’ remix of ‘Cut & Run’ takes its time to build-up, but soon enough pleases you with an oldskool but timeless deep trance sound and gentle tech-effects.
Arctic Moon - True Romance
A promising member of the next generation of trance producers is ascending from Poland. The Polish dance scene is up and coming, and so are its producers. One of them, is Thomas Popielarski. He’s lost the rookie-status quite a few years and releases ago, as he produces one quality Arctic Moon track and remix after another. It didn’t take Aly & Fila long to take notice of the Arctic Moon sound - and secure a release on their own Future Sound Of Egypt label.
‘True Romance’ is that little crack of light you need to feel on top of the world again. Uplifting trance with an emotional theme and epic feel to it. ‘True Romance’ is more than just an instant crush or love at first listen, it’s an anthem you’ll hold dearly for years following. Arctic Moon is able to light the darkest clubs with this one!
